YD isn’t the ideal place to discuss suicide, but that’s the only inspiration that one gets from the Mint Light #5 You Only Live Once Lamp. The hangman’s noose works in a creepy way as well; tighten the noose to turn it off and loosen it to brighten the lights. Almost poetic in a way….life is a precious gift, if you let your worries depress you, its like the tight noose of this lamp–DARK. Enjoy what you have and it brightens up your life!

Interesting idea. Not my particular liking, but some people might be flat out offended by this. I don’t think there is a market for this in America right now…

I like it…but I don’t understand why people would be scared…would make an interesting feature. (this knots have more applications than only hanging people)

Unfortunately some people harbor ill feelings toward anything resembling a non “P.C.” phrase, item, or in this case object in the shape of a noose. I’m not easily offended but I’m aware that I live in a world where others are. Gutsy move by the designer, but then again isn’t that what designing is all about? Pushing the envelope…

I like this and quite frankly I didn’t even realise it was a noose until it was pointed out. I just thought it was cool shaped light.
