World’s Largest Mouse
If you thought your premium mouse had a lot of buttons, check out the Glide Keyboard from Weston Boege. Resting on low friction pads, the keyboard slides around your desk picking up the movement through an optical sensor mounted underneath. The keyboard also integrates traditional mousing controls into the moulded palm rest that grips your hands as they move. Can’t say it’s a bad idea, although I can see having trouble typing when half the keys are fused together.

I have to say this is the worst concept I’ve ever seen here. Looks nice, but it is an utterly miss.

Needs a “center” button. Otherwise you may be always lifting it to re-center which would become annoying after awhile.

Відвідав декілька сайтів, піднакачав м’язи. Мрія справжнього козака! Проте, програмістам і дизайнерам навряд чи ця ідея буде до вподоби…

If I’m not mistaken, microsoft developed, years ago, a mouse which had a fixed base, and would move the arrow using this same idea.. It didn’t catch.

no, sorry. the idea was completely different! i misunterstood this concept at first glance.

Horrible design. Really bad ergonomics and anthropormetrics!

anyone ever think of small desks? with this you would have it fall off a tiny or cluttered desk a million times.

Dont get discouraged by other peoples comments. To be innovative we need to create these ideas. It doesnt matter if ideas are not technically sound right away, they are the seed for many iterations and often inspiration for very good solutions further down the line.
Come on people, criticism is good, but lets make it a bit more constructive.

I will try to make my own. With a apare mouse.

okay, this is where the industrial designer needs to stop designing in cad, start with basic prototypes first. this would be easy to create and test.
and yes, it would fail.
good problem to solve, but not the right solution.

good for people who wants to lose weight..
but for gaming? naah.. Fail.

I don't know, i don't really think it would be to easy to type with your keyboard all over the place, and what if your desk is small/clutered or you put your keyboard on one of those pull out drawers, it just doesnt seem like enough room to move around easily with such a big mouse.
