Lighter-Than-Air Lights
LED technology is probably the greatest thing to happen in illumination since the invention of the candle. LED’s are energy efficient, cool to the touch and give off a clean, attractive light. Designer Luc Schouten has elevated LED usage to new heights with this whimsical “Floating Light” design that uses helium filled latex balloons anchored by a small LED base. With multiple light effect settings like strobe, flash and glow, these Floating Light balloons are great for temporary (10 hour lifespan) use at special events, clubs, discos or even lavish house parties.

This is just gorgeous. Elegant, interesting, and (I would guess) affordable. Makes me want to throw a party.

They look like a regular balloon…… in a regular club.
….kinda lame to be honest.

Its elegant and simple.
but,
When there are lights on in the same room, balloons reflect/refract that light and look like they already have lights inside. I can’t tell which spots are the led lights (^ bottom photo).
The idea was already proposed by a student at art center years ago with a patent and business plan, is this you???
This design is better though.
