Putting the Light in Lightweight

It’s been a while since I’ve seen an iconic/memorable lamp design after the Pixar logo, Luxo Jr. Designers at Gagan Design in Canada have been working on a lighting design that is built out of aerospace parts. The Maverick lamp is as beautiful as it’s sleek. Resting on two wooden legs, the Copper tube houses a strip of LEDs in a way that makes the design ultra compact and awe-inspiring. And it’s all made out of aviation parts. The cherry on the cake is, Gagan in Hindi means “sky”. What a lovely coincidence!

I love how you can adjust the angle of the lamp without any bending components. Just widen the base of the tripod and your light faces downwards! So clever!
