The Mercedes Benz Dolphin takes design cues from the naturally streamlined shape of the aquatic animal, applying lightweight material to its aerodynamic form for maximum efficiency. Powered by a dual-stators maglev DC machine, the lighter and cleaner engine was a natural choice to compliment its focus on environmental friendliness and efficiency. It’s a Flipper-inspired family car of the future!

It looks neat and sounds clever but when you crash it will your doors pop open or become inoperable? Doesn’t seem like a good design having your exit also your bumper… maybe it has ejector seats?
Interesting shape and structure…but I fail to see the dolphin nature of it. Besides, that huge A pilar is kind of on the way of the view. Now, we wouldn’t want to swim onto a whale or shark, do we?
Not really sure how it is considered a dolphin-inspired family car. With that being said, this car looks crazy good.
Cool Form excercise guys!
As a budding car designers best leave the propulsion choice out of the picture, and avoid ruining your credibility as designers…!
