The semitransparent veneer of this beautiful pendant lamp by designer Pavel Eekra mimics the shape of the pine cone and creates a soft and inviting glow. Each of the 56 thin overlapping scales made of natural maple are held together with a single screw hidden beneath the preceding scale, adding to it’s organic and clean form without the need for an internal skeleton. From the log cabin to the minimal studio, this design is perfect for warming up any room. Even better is that it’s flat-pack ready and you can put it together yourself! Get it here.
Designer: Pavel Eekra
The Pineapple shape and maple give the pendant a majestic look. Looks like it also gives a pleasant light.

Very sexy, great looks and overall shape, but not exactly the most original I´ve seen. Kudos for the work and thougth process, I want it.

Beware of the russian designer Pavel Eekra!
He is a liar and a cheater.
He got the money in advance in September 2011, but he has NEVER delivered the crimean pinecone lamp! After a while I wrote several emails, but he didn’t answer me anymore and he no longer answers the phone.
In the end I have lost 380 €!!!!!

Do not buy anything from this designer, Pavel. He steals your money. I have lost more than 400 euros, but I am not going to give up. I will ruin him as an upcoming artist !!
While this is a beautiful lamp, the design isn’t innovative nor original. This lamp is a just a slightly altered version of Poul Henningen’s “Artichoke” from 1958.
Did you ever get your item? I’m considering buying but so far I have not seen anybody saying that they got the item home!
Any replies are respected!
Yes, I got my lamp after 5 months of constantly bombing web pages related to his work with bad comments. I sent him the links with my comments so he could see what I wrote about him. The lamp is VERY nice and I am happy with the buy. He said he had problems with the production while I waited, but I don`t know…He gave me a compensation after teh wait. I think it was 70 euros, but I bought 2 lamps.
It is worth it, if you get it. The lamp is not that expensive compared to similar designs.
Go for it, its only money…!
Ordering anything from Pavel Eekra is going to be a nightmare. If you’re brave (and/or dumb) enough to order from him, make sure you do it with a credit card with good fraud protection. You’ll be spending time on the phone with him contesting charges.
