The Cycle Generation

The Encycle concept isn’t the first bicycle dynamo we’ve seen but it’s the only one we know of that connects to a smartphone. Every rotation gets accounted for and an inbuilt tilt sensor detects the road’s slope and sets the resistance level of the generator accordingly, maximizing efficiency. Needless to say the juice is used for topping up your smartphone & devices. A supporting Encycle app will help chart your course and function as a speedometer etc. What fun!

    bad project.
The standard generator for bicycle is a very old project, with a remarkable evolution, you can see this from its simplicity.
your project uses more components, has the problem that you can only use with slick tires, with no mud or water.

You are just reinventing something that exists in my fathers 40 year old bike. And you're doing a lousy job. You have to put the dynamo wheel on the SIDE of the tyre. In that position, all the dirt and mud that comes with the tyre will hit the dynamo, rendering it useless after a while.

On the wheel? That is a short lived idea for sure. Put it in the axel if you want it to last!
