The Honda Cub motorcycle by Sam Jilbert utilises the potential for a radically revised layout, dispensing with convention due to its use of a hydrogen fuel cell. For so long has mankind had an addiction to the internal combustion engine with its limitations of form and package layout, but now totally revised and interesting concepts can be created by placing or moulding the hydrogen power-plant components in unusual and previously unfeasible forms.

In Platonic Chess, designer Patricia Tower was inspired by the chemical powers of the five platonic solids in correlation to traditional chess pieces. The queen, the most powerful piece, is represented by the “buckyball,” the structure for Carbon 60, essential in the discovery on nanotechnology.

When in 1977, Ferdinand A. Porsche was commissioned by Rossi Moda to design his first shoe, his basic idea was to create a professional aodriver’s footweara, which led to the use of especially flexible leather and a sole that extended over the toe and heel. In the new collection, the functionality of the original concept has been further refined in numerous details, such as the optimisation of the asymmetrical soles.
