The Global Projected Satellite

The Global Projected Satellite

Because of the great area they must cover on foot, hikers often find the screens of traditional hiking GPS devices too small to properly navigate terrain. As you might’ve guessed from the name, the Project Hiking GPS aims to solve this problem with a projected map instead of permanent screen. Simply aim and point on any surface like rocks, trees or the ground to see an enhanced, larger map that can be color adjusted for easy viewing. Ergonomically shaped to fit the hand, it’s also rugged and durable for tough outdoor use.

No Cold Coffee, Only HOT!

No Cold Coffee, Only HOT!

Regular YD-ers know about my coffee addiction and how I love my cuppa joe by my side. According to my survey there are two kinda tea/coffee drinkers, ones who love their brew piping hot (or a particular temperature) and ones who prefer tepid. The Nano Heated Mug caters to the former faction; those who love hot beverages at the ideal drinkable temperature.

Share the Noise in Your Life

Share the Noise in Your Life

Tchotchkes, photos & other tangible objects are all effective when it comes to reflecting on our memories, but what if you could hear your memories rather than see them? The Backtrack concept explores this alternative sensory approach to preserving memories. Equipped with GPS, the device detects the user’s location & records audio when specified. Users then define the precise emotion they were feeling at the moment.

What's Hidden in These Handlebars?

What’s Hidden in These Handlebars?

Coincidentally, I just finished a nighttime bike ride and totally needed my lights… only, they were stolen. It happens! If only my lights were built in and secured somehow. That’s precisely the idea behind MagVis. These handy bicycle grips have a built-in light and can be hidden in the hallow handlebar. When the bike isn’t in use, the lights are near invisible! They’re easily recharged with a USB cable so you’re always prepared. Genius!
