Moving Library
The Giro One is a shelf + side table stand, where you can flaunt your library, rest your coffee cup and show off your knick-knacks. I love the way you can interact with the modules by twirling them up and down the center axis, making it much easier to adjust the height to suit your style. Complimenting the design is a set of LED lamps at the top. It adds just the right amount of sophistication and functionality.

It is a good idea, it was a good idea when it was done years ago, then the time after that when it was done again. Does no one research anymore?

Cribbing from the past and asserting a modern aesthetic and materials is fair game. Acknowledging prior art and references is good form. Doing it well without creating a horrible pastiche — faux-Palladian McMansions anyone? — is hard.
