The Sinking Scale

The ultra-portability of this scale is made possible by a unique weighing system that utilizes water to gauge the displacement of the object placed upon it. Once the object has settled on the flexible surface, the weight will is displayed in a straightforward manner directly below. The alternative method also gives a visual reference to the user as they compare the way different objects interact with the surface. When not in use, it can be emptied and packed for easy toting.

    So, how does it measure the amount of displaced water in a fully enclosed system? How is this solution any better than the electronic scales I have in my kitchen the look to be much smaller and won’t have things rolling off them?
