Inspired by your favorite kind of paper modification in the whole, world, oragami! That’s what this chair right here is. The Opa chair, Designed by Industrial Design student Daniel Levin who is currently in class at Shenkar College in Israel. You’ll see the influence of the ancient paper folding art right away, right when you glance into the eyes of this lovely chair that I’d never be able to have on my wood flooring. You bet!
Inspired specifically by the animals of oragami, Daniel Levin created this chair with sheet metal. Cutting, bending, and loving of the materials at hand, Daniel Levin doth created a masterwork of sitting pleasure.

screams sore ass
While i commend the student for actually going out and building a real prototype, it looks like it could have been improved greatly with and ergomonic study.
It doesn’t look enjoyable to sit on at all.
is the seat metal?
yes it is
you’ll never know it could be really comfortable. i designed and made an origami inspired chair for my major, it looked cold and uncomfortable but infact it waws quite the opposite.
looks nice..if its comphy then i ‘d build a bar in my house arnd it 🙂
The stool reminds me of something out of Japanese animation. Cool design!
It is really great to have this one at home or in an office! I will definitely tell my boss to renew our furniture in the company ))
