The Drip with Song concept is probably the only concept I’d actually buy that uses CDs. I’ve totally transitioned to digital downloads but this just looks too precious. The saucer is actually a CD player with built-in speakers. The cup, when docked controls volume by turning it on the saucer. And just for kicks, it’s white with touch controls. How very 2008. Who am I kidding? I totally want one!

why?
you cant even fit your finger through the handle!
Why not? I mean, ok, it’s probably never gonna hit market at all, but, hey, it is a nice conceptual design. You people sometimes sound like those people who watch a fashion show and say “hey, NOBODY would ever use that.”
Right. It may or may not hit the shelves, but who cares. In this case it’s the thought that counts. My only question is why use CDs? I don’t think I’d ever finish my coffee – I’d get distracted by the ripples!
Well, you know when sometimes it’s just not your day and you spill coffee all over your desk?
Now imagine an electronic device with a spinning disk under the afforementioned situation.
I was talking about the ripples music would make on the surface of the cup of coffee while full. I don’t get why this was a response…
please remind me what a CD is?
douche
nice idea as in core but Im not fond of using electronic products and messing tea coke etc on them. makes the end user a bit nerveous (if they are all like us , that care about their products)
That’s a cool design. The only problem is the fact that I haven’t bought a CD in almost 4 years. This seems to be a good design that just came out a few years too late.
LOL I still have casett tapes (lp’s too) but then again one of my cars is from the late 70’s (78 maserat bora) and late 80’s ( maserati quartroporte) so I have use for cassetts LOL.
why do we take a that step?
the heat from a hot cup of coffee or tea would not do the Cd or the unit.
cool design
I like it~*
