A few weeks back 3Dconnexion gave me a sneak peak at the SpacePilot Pro 3D mouse. It addresses a number of issues I had with SpaceExplorer and ups the ante by adding a barrage of new technologies. Last month we reviewed the fantastic Flip Mino cam by Pure Digital with very little to improve on for a video camera in that price range. Today Pure Digital is announcing a new service to customize your Mino with professionally designed covers. If one of the designs don’t strike your fancy, create your own have them print it! OLO Computer updated their site with a mysterious laptop with what looks like an iPhone as the trackpad and OS X on the screen. Now I’m only thinking out loud but the iPhone, tho powerful, isn’t powerful enough to run a full blown version of OS X. Does OLO know something we don’t know or are they just reaching for pie in the sky? Care to ruminate?

Just a few months ago Philippe Starck was announcing the death of design. Never one to be taken too seriously, Philippe Starck is set to contradict himself once again and launch a new reality television show. Produced by the BBC and scheduled to air on BBC 2 next year, Philippe Starck’s “School of Design” will feature ten aspiring product designers that will be given the opportunity to work alongside Starck and his design team over a period of several months.
