Other than that it looks good! Just, the style of the buttons… they don’t seem very Apple-like…

I love it… with the screen off.

The proportions of the screen are a little off. The Apple logo in the bottom looks cramped and the bezel on the sides is very thin, which could cause accidental pressing while using it with one hand only.

But the industrial design looks great. And the home button being on the side would be a great move if Apple decides to use a gesture system alla MeeGo with the N9, giving users a smooth transition from the hardware based home button to a gesture or software home button.

totally the same outcome like the iphone 4 – 4S… where is the innovation in the shape?…boring.

Interesting design. Though the home button on the left side is only useful if holding it with your left hand. I (and many others) often hold a phone with a right hand. Which is why central on the bottom makes sense. It’s the most used hardware button and can then be used left or right handed. I wouldn’t want to constantly have to reposition my hand to hit that button with one of my fingers.

Beautiful! What about left handers – would the home button be on both sides or on top even? I’m sure that’s a bad idea. Would be great to consider the display going from edge to edge on sides and bottom. Only top where speaker and sensors taking up space (or embed behind LCD for full edge-to-edge coverage (Apple’s gotta do something truly unique this time around and given their track record – we know they can do it if truly challenged).

Well, I dont quite agree – whether I use my thumb as prescribed or press it with my Index-finger doesnt matter, no? Would work equally well.

The Main-button in the middle, though, as it is now, is equally hard to reach with left and right hands. You can only comfortably use it when using both hands. My thumb hurts every time i stretch down to the button.

To the Poster;
One you mention, shortcomings in “design”… but then say good “Industrial Design Though” I wonder what the difference is?… The functionality of the design and how it looks and feels, are connected… bad design = bad function.

So can’t have “Bad Button Placement”… and also “Good Design”.

… well done on this concept… at least it makes an attempt to evolve Apple’s design language.

What about left handed people who hold their phone in their right hand? They won’t want the home button on the left side because their thumb would be on the right

How is this different from an IPhone 4s or 5? Innovation is not only about form, it has to go beyond. It is our responsibility as designer to deliver system that Innovate in all scales

Great design. Shorter than Galaxy SIII and bigger screen than SIII. but what about thickness? it should be less than 7.1mm (motorola driod razr, I own). camera should be 12MP (like Nokia) rear and 2.0MP front with 1080p HD video. Storage will be 32GB starting. What about Widgets? it should be there.
there should also be application font size control.
Above all, main concern is Battery life. atleast 2500mAh or 12hrs talktime/3G performance / 40h itunes / 12hrs Video — whichever is greater.

We can invest money, time, and knowledge in making our own designs and upgrading it every year. How about getting it to work on the software of the phone by introducing better phone features not apps. For example; themes, 3D screen, hologram, and a phone projector. As well as making the phone as thin as possible would be appreciated by Apple Customers. With the technology we have today we can do more in R&D and continuously improve Apple products every two year with mind-blowing phone features which will be highly appreciated by the customers with affordable pricing. All new Apple Phones starting with Apple Iphone 6 should especially be unlocked, meaning compatible with any carriers which will be convenient for all users and no one has to hassle of getting the phone unlocked. Lastly, it’s all to be done at once but it is better to offer something more qualitative and satisfied as we buyers spend money and do not get our superior perceived value and full satisfaction.

I love it! I think the black color will be much better than its white esp with this design. I’d definitely buy this. Good thing I didn’t give in to iphone 5 yet!

The logo on the front should be taken off …. and move the home button to the bottom but find a way to make it blend in so people can still enjoy the wider screen

This i EXACTLy how the new Iphone should look like : glass on both sizes , thinner than Iphone 4 , HD resolution and diagonal under 5” ( as smallest aspossible for a HD screen ) . The regular IPhone 4 button on the bottom and on the back , in the time call , perdaps the apple sign can pulse as it is on some laptops .

Very good design! Perhaps there should be a home button on both sides. That way, it will be easier for left and right-handed users to go home.
