Electric Ferrari… Whaaaaa?
The Ferrari Millenio, as the name might allude, is a futuristic super-car concept that features a complex combination of materials and technologies that we can hope will become a serious reality before the end of the next millenium. The two-seater includes a buckypaper reinforced body that is stronger than steel and lighter than carbon fiber as well as dual electric engines that can be recharged via solar panels or through an inductive power transfer system.

I am going to disagree. It is overdone and unsophisticated. More in the genre of the Lambos (maybe) than Ferrari. Renderings are quite good and pencilwork outstanding.

Fantastic technical ability, zero brand identity. This should be labelled as a Lambo, not a Ferrari. I wish kids would understand a brand before throwing a badge on their work.

Far too busy design, though. Doesn’t capture the spirit of Ferrari.
I also still don’t understand the need to put brand names on designs that have nothing to do with the brand. There is quite a list of Ferrari’s here on Yanko Design that have nothing to do with Ferrari…

Sexy car, nice design. Body proportions more like a BMW Z4 – might have been a better brand fit.
Sadly, too many drag pockets on the front end, especially for an electric concept. Not to mention, why does an electric vehicle need air intakes at the front, or anywhere for that matter?

Good job with the rendering, but this looks more like a BMW or Peugeot. I agree with Ole Gus, way too many intakes for an electric car..maybe try a different direction. The honeycomb is not helping either.

First impressions, WOW. Second glance, it’s a revolutionary design of a brand that already leads in terms of performance and style. I love where that are going, however my question is would you prefer to have this new technology in a current Ferrari model? I don’t own a Ferrari but if I did, I would like to have a current model (which are beautiful and a long time away looking dated) with an electric engine. In my opinion BMW hold the title of creating by evolution. It’s only when you examine how they retain features from what they learnt through knowledge do you realise what looks revolutionary is a brave drew forward without forgetting where you came from. So…. This Ferrari is it a modern evolution to soon? I think so.

i agree. and i still cant believe that this official ferrari-design. it looks like its done by some cg-graphic geeks. and also if you want to see good renderings watch car-commercials, these ones here are quite ordinary.

That reminds me the car collection I had me and my brother. We both had this one car we favored out of all. For me it was the dodge viper. Now, this Ferrari is in a whole other league. Great concept car!

This is cool… except for the fact that there is no way you could even theoretically have a solar powered car. Even if you had some magical solar panels that somehow transferred 100% of power perfectly to the axles (which is also impossible), your car would have to have solar panels that are hundreds and hundreds of square feet.
