Your AirPods can now be used to watch in-flight movies with this wireless headphone adapter!

Wireless headphones seem to have taken over the world and I have to say they’re quite convenient! No more 15 minute long sessions dedicated to untangling your wired headphones. However, the boon of owning wireless headphones can turn into a curse pretty soon, once you’re in an airplane or on a treadmill. Airline entertainment systems are equipped with wired headphone jacks, so using your Airpods to watch some in-flight movies becomes impossible. It’s similar to when you want to catch up on some news on the screen attached to the treadmill while working out, but there’s zero compatibility with your wireless headphones! However Twelve South has just come up with their AirFly Pro. A wireless headphone adaptor, AirFly Pro is “the missing link between wireless headphones and wired headphone jacks.” It lets you connect your AirPods, AirPods Pro or wireless headphones of any brand to devices (lacking Bluetooth connectivity) with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The dongle allows two people to listen to music or watch a movie, making it a splitter! You can finally share/watch things wirelessly with your friends, if you’ll share the same taste in entertainment that is. The AirFly Pro also connects with the Nintendo Switch, enabling you to listen to the audio using your favorite wireless headphones while playing your favorite game!

Boasting a battery life of 16 hours, AirFly Pro has another interesting feature hidden up its sleeve! You can plug the Pro into any 3.5 mm AUX port, transforming it into a wireless receiver. This is extremely useful when it comes to the stereos of certain older car models. However, the biggest plus point for me is the fact that I get to use my AirPods to watch a movie the next time I’m jet setting on a vacation! AirFly Pro is compatible with a wide range of wireless headphones including Apple AirPods, Powerbeats Pros, Bose QuietComfort 35, Beats Solo and Sony WH-1000.
