A Fun Alternative to Conventional Wi-Fi Routers

I love playful design, especially when it makes mundane and under-designed products, interesting. This is definitely the case when it comes to this little device! Factory is a Wi-Fi router that takes its inspiration from, well… factories! Its designer acknowledged that Wi-Fi routers and factories share certain similarities, they are both on 24 hours a day and work extremely hard during this time!

The introduction of this interesting design has allowed the router to become a more desirable object as opposed to a necessity that we try and hide. Factory makes for an excellent desk accessory that offers another layer of functionality that at first goes unnoticed; the traditional peaked roofing of the factories lends itself to being used as a pen tray, keeping the desk tidy and organized.
