A light with dark humour

The way our mind processes knowledge and information is increasingly begin to mimic our digestive system. With constant consumption, there’s hardly any retention. Everything we absorb sticks with us for a bit and then off it goes, into Neverland… Designer Leo Armenta came up with the perfect visual pun for this little observation. The Foolamp (Fool + Lamp) is a satire on how we just guzzle irrelevant data and then just let it all go through our systems, making us no wiser than we already were. The lamp has this rather enigmatic man sitting on the john, with the lighting fixture under his derriere. The wire represents the path all our irrelevant information takes. Clever, eh!
