No matter how advanced, progressive, sleek and lightweight our laptops get, the one thing that we sorely miss is an elaborate keyboard. I know of someone who uses his Macbook but in conjunction with a wireless keyboard. Many hybrids and self-built versions are out there being used by folks, so the question really is, are we happy with what the industry is dishing out to us? Or do we have to lust after Utopian concepts like the iWEB 2.0…with really drool-worthy features!

It looks great.. Wonder if the same method is possible with display’s, so that when unfolded we get 21-inch screen..
probably someday with OLED
probably someday with OLED
Great concept!

same?

oh my;;
Love the concept yanko. I bet you are considering slider keyboard… great stuff..
Where’s the Buy Now button? 🙁
Also please get rid of the bird logo on the cover.
interesting idea
little bit small to be practical 6.5 inch screen
OMG, I want one already!
sexy !
What a softness! Are you fag?
Sliding keyboard parts would be much more practical ie. if you don’t need to use numerical keypad you just keep it hidden.
OMG, I want one already!
Great concept, would love to have one.
It would be even more usefully if it would have the option to fold the screen completely to the back so that it would become a touch tablet.
I would by this in a heartbeat!
9″ at least 1280×800 res, Core 2 or quad, 6G RAM, 160SSD
When is it avalible? 🙂
Super !!!!!!!!!! and Beauty
Ohh… Syper! I want it
There are no number keys on this at all….
Can’t believe nobody else noticed that.
loooooook closey there bub
there are numbers but they are only accessible by pressing the function key (fn)
Very Nice. How fitting it is that it is showing the Transformers movie.
Where would you connect external stuff like USB devices, microphones, headphones, LAN, external display… They are on the sides.
Very nice. The keyboard layout lets it down, though. Get the columns sorted out for touch typing. QAZ; WSX; EDC; etc. Not Q; WA; ESZ; etc. Sort that out and it’ll be great.
Assuming this is MEANT to be a web-only device, there’s still more than a few problems:
1) No numbers without using the Fn key. This is clumsy as hell, and would seriously impede users.
2) The keyboard layout is borked. Anyone who can type reasonably well by touch would be thrown way out of whack, and would be rather uncomfortable. (Incidentally… there’s a reason that the QWERTY layout is shaped the way it is on normal keyboards. That reason is usability.)
3) At that size, I sure hope nobody’s hoping to watch movies, or even use the device for long, because there’s little to no room for a battery, or really any components. In fact, there’s not hard drive built today that could fit inside that case. They’d have to create a proprietary SSD, which would drive costs through the roof, putting this at a price point I doubt would be viable.
4) Did I mention how tiny it is? Yeah, you try cramming all the components for a computer that can play HD video over a wireless connection while leaving overhead for operating a multitouch screen of that size… into a case that small and misshapen. Good luck. Give Moore’s Law another few years to work and maybe we can talk.
Awesome concept

WOW.Its looks really awesome.Your right, the way things are going physical keypads are on the way out.But talking of dual-screens, although strictly not a laptop or netbook this is something which i quite like and meets in the middle and is not a concept either.

I wish I had that on my phone. I really love my iphone 4 but yes, these little devices have crappy keyboards.
I would love this awesome kit.
Really cool idea. We actually got a laser keyboard that does the trick really well. Takes up no space too!
