Liber toit, a concept by Aureline Ranson turns your neighborhood into a giant hamster-like jungle gym! If that sentence alone doesn’t excite you then hear me out. Why relegate ourselves to the street? If we’re supposed to reduce our reliance on petrol based technologies to get around, lets take full advantage of our body’s full dexterity.
Imagine wall climbs, connecting tubes, slides, and ramps criss-crossing over rooftops in your neighborhood. Like a hamster, climb in and enjoy your town in a new way while getting plenty of exercise.

ha, looks like fun, but utterly ridiculous
Mirror’s Edge comes to mind.
one additional benefit of something like this would be an additional escape route in the likes of a Towering Inferno scenario. That is, until 50 people all try to climb across one of these things at the same time.
please-o-please-o-please-o-please make this happen! when i become a millionaire, im building like 15 regular sized houses and connecting them all witht his instead of one huge house.
I think it would be cool to make more use to the tops of buildings, especially in cramped cities. I wouldn’t climb from building to building though, I’m afraid of death.
Make it happen.
Someone…please.
I see no flaws in this idea.
Robberies.
Why ?
Why ?
That would be a great workout.
I like this a lot
A few years back there was a group of German architects that designed a little prefab home called ‘loftcube’ that was supposed to be placed on the flat roofs of old post WWII buildings. I thought it was a very neat idea other than the part that it didn’t seem to have a toilet but hey, nobody is perfect, right ?
Anyway, I applaud the idea of using our space and ourselves more efficiently, but, lets just for the heck of it consider that we don’t live in a world where our privacy is stripped from us by our governments and other entities which we most likely don’t even know of, how would you feel about people dangling right outside your window =) ?
Other than that I think it’s a great idea, I’d never take public transport again…. and imagine all the bungee jumping opportunities !!!
I’m thinking you might want to carry around alot of instant hand sanitizer in a town that employs this. Or maybe I am just too obsessive compulsive.
It's an impractical idea. At first it would be cool, but eventually like all public transportation it would fall into disrepair and people would stop using them. Also there to much work to use all the time.

As much of a parkour fan I (an energetic teenage guy) am, I have to imagine business women in high heels and briefcases trying to navigate a climbing wall.
This doesn’t seem like a good idea for business people in suits etc.
However, I can totally see it for, say, colleges or universities. (and have normal walkways below for more traditional movement)
I want one, personally.
This is definitely cool and practical as an alternative for people who may just be lazy enough to go all the way down to go across to other buildings! Exercise 🙂

O yes, I suppose you know all about it, even more than the experimental engineering experts over than Ferrari..
