Light “Sock”it
Imagine walking into a room with bags of crystals hanging from the ceiling which seem to be glowing in their brilliant glory. In Miami, at the Design Miami show held at The Moore Building, located in the epicenter of Miami’s Design District, Swarovski Crystal Palace unveiled an exhibition featuring Light Sock by New York-based architecture firm, Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Diller Scofidio + Renfro moved away from the traditional chandelier design and filled a mesh sack with Swarovski crystals. The result was breathtaking and stunning and quite a hit with viewers. A light source is hidden amongst thousands of Swarovski crystals which together create an illuminated brilliance in design.
“Light Sock combines a seamless blend of modern design with our vast crystal resources. The outcome of this union is a truly stunning piece, that embodies innovation, imagination, and artistry.” said Nadja Swarovski
