Solid Wood Splendor
Intuitive functionality meets unpredictable geometric styling in this solid wood lamp by Amitrani. To turn on the embedded LED light, simply graze a finger across the metallic button at the base. A super-extended arm balanced by a weighted base make this a sturdy desktop lighting solution that won’t obtrude workspace.

“A super-extended arm” is a bit of a stretch here. It’s not that crazy of an arm extension. Also, since when has LED light been a “functional” source of light for lamps? Aren’t LEDs too directional/intense for desk light?
my 2 cents

I can’t remember the last time I saw the word “obtrude” but I nearly read over it as “intrude” several times before my brain was able to process the word you actually used.
…my 2 cents on this one

I loved their 3 exhibitions at 100% design festival in london, the brothers behind these ideas have wonderfully creative minds, trying to give new and unusual forms through the use of digital technologies.
