Business in the Front, Party in the Back
Mercedes and cute are two words that are rarely used in combination, but there’s no denying the cute factor in Mohammad Ghezel’s Mercedes ELA concept for the 2011 Michelin Challenge Design Showcase. The ELA’s lightweight but structurally sound body reflects what could be the future look of HOVs to come. In contrast with it’s bee-like exoskeleton, the interior is intimate for both passenger and driver.
Designer: Mohammad Ghezel

The fact that the only people using them in the real world are building motorcycle choppers says volumes about the balance of engineering vs aesthetics.
