Holiday Clouds of Cuteness
The cool people over at Centre International d’Art Verrier de Meisenthal have produced a limited edition Christmas Ball by the name of Cumulus. It’s a bunch of little clouds designed by Mendel Heit. Each year the CIAV chooses to work with a new young designer who then designs a unique piece for production in a limited edition. This year it’s a cute little cloud! This particular design invites you, the new owner of a tiny little cloud, to travel back to your childhood and hang out in your own imagination, up in the air.
You might otherwise know this particular sort of design as a holiday ornament. Look at the gallery below and the craftsmanship will be very evident instantly. See if you can attain one and you’ll be the bell of the ball. Produced by Centre International d’Art Verrier de Meisenthal.

Great idea, using the organic shapes of clouds for lighting. It would be awesome if they figured out a way to make the lighting emit irregularly from the lamps as well, so that from certain angles it's brighter and others it's dimmer, the way the sun through the clouds is.
