One of the greatest pleasures of summer is to find a busted fire hydrant and experience the cooling water spray; simply enjoying the moment. With this proposed new design, taking advantage of a hydrant won’t be so easy thanks to the tamper proof top, which requires a deep socket to operate the valve. Like the design team explains, “The goal was to apply a contemporary and functional design aesthetic, creating a form that would be instantly recognizable.” Well done!
