You may have seen the Sorapot mentioned in other publications some time ago. Its architectural shape and simple functionality brings tea’s quiet beauty into sharp focus. Made from 304 stainless steel, borosilicate glass (Pyrex), and food-grade silicone, it articulates the ritual of tea making in a thoroughly modern way.
A new mirrored finish is available for purchase. With reflectivity that rivals chrome, this finish is achieved only through intense hand-polishing. No artificial surface treatments touch the stainless steel. These striking Sorapots come alive with dark teas and natural light.
We’re excited to soon review the Sorapot so keep your eyes open!

I was never into tea, but this is like modern art! Definitely going on the Christmas list. How does it work?
wow, sweet look.
how much cost did hand polishing add?
Great job joey!
stunning. great choice of materials and wonderful work bringing out that elegance that tea makers would like to see in a product they’d want to use.
That looks beautiful.
I’m just sad that it looks like it needs to be taken appart to add tea leaves.
It actually look pretty easy- I found the instructions page, and it just unhinges so you can add tea and water. Cleaning the used tea leaves out would probably be a lot easier than a normal teapot too, since it’s just a glass tube you have to clean. The instructions are here: http://www.sorapot.com/instructions
I seen his design at the Accents of Design booth in NY and it is amazing. But I did have one concern, I didn’t like the fact that the hot water needs to be poured in from the spout. The spout is big enough to pour in, but I think you are bound to spill it. Final note though, this teapot is revolutionary, you won’t find anything like this on the market.
Beautiful design. Shows off color and texture handsomely.
hands material seems the good heat conductor…It will be too hot to touch or use it…when the tea is boiled or hot.
wow …….beautiful design
OH! really look like old fashion chinese urine pot.
