Zaha Hadid – Architecture & Design Exhibition At The Design Museum

Not many architects would have the patience, passion and persistence to design, take part in competitions and constantly produce work for over 10 years, with most of their projects never actually getting realised until very recently. And this is not the only reason that made Zaha Hadid stand out of the crowd, and become one of the most creative living architects.

From June 29 – November 25 2007, The Design Museum is now showing architecture and design work from the talented Baghdad-born Hadid, one of the very few widely recognized female architects, in a major exhibition running until November. A fine selection of her both built and unbuilt work, including wonderful early hand-drawings, sketches, presentation and working models, as well as work-in-progress, spreads in two levels of the museum available for the broader audience – and not only – to enjoy: “It is a pleasure for me as well, to revisit the material and see it all together here, in juxtaposition”, said the architect at the opening.
