Rugged Lamps Now Refined

It’s quite funny actually when you think about it; products that you use in extreme conditions, when refined and gilded, suddenly become prized possessions and artifacts. For example the oil lanterns that the electricity-deprived population uses, becomes an iconic possession for the fortunate one. We don’t really care much about the construction lamp found in the garage, but if Form Us With Love decides to glam it up and give us the “Work Lamp”; WE WANT IT!

Trophy Polygamy

When awards are handed out, it is usually for excellence in a particular field. Well if there was an award for best award, this new award called “DesignNu” would win the award for most clever award. This take-away object of commemoration is handed out biannually for outstanding Swedish design. The trophy was designed by Form Us With Love and the basic idea of its design is to allow the winner to mould as many trophies as he/she likes.

Roughly a year ago we featured the Bendable Interior Object by design studio Form Us With Love, a concept built around flat and slimmed production. Office objects that is laser cut in recyclable aluminum and comes in the shape of a flat “bag”. We have just been notified from the designer that it is ready for commercial launch, official opening will be September 1 2007!

The steel chair Highway designed by Form Us With Love for swedish steel furniture producer Mitab is a chair designed for both inside and outside use. It comes with a detachable pressed felt padding, flat when not in use and optimal for storing. Highway is stackable and can be dismounted in two pieces; base and seating.
