A watch inspired by the invisible force that moves us

Normally I wouldn’t advocate for watches that solely use transparent discs with artwork to tell the time, but this circumstance isn’t a normal one. Inspired by the invisible energy of a magnetic compass, of the way the stars move around us, and ultimately of voyage, the Atlas Watch, in an effort to maintain that invisibility, uses these transparent discs instead of centrally connected hands to tell the time. Created by Trinity Time, the Atlas Watch celebrates this invisible force that drives everything. Whether it’s the needle of the compass, the sun, the moon, this earth, and even us.

The Atlas uses a series of transparent dials for depicting the motion of the hours, minutes, and seconds. With artwork inspired by navigational instruments, and by the latitudinal and longitudinal lines around our planet, the Atlas indicates the passage of time, using the transparent discs to create a sense of depth and of awe. The artworks overlap, causing them to interact with each other as the dials rotate with time. The result is something worth feasting your eyes upon.

Under the watch’s artistic dial lies its movement, a Japanese Miyota 2035 Quartz movement with a battery life of 3 years. The movement comes encased in a polished 316L Stainless Steel body, complete with a stylized crown, and topped off with a sapphire crystal glass, as well as a tanned pure-leather interchangeable strap that bears a buckle with the Atlas insignia. The watch comes available in three color combinations, with complementary strap and dial colors to match your sense of style, and to help you acknowledge and even appreciate the invisible force of nature that drives all of us!
