Hot Outdoor Lunch

The Green Cooker is an outdoor cooking appliance that utilizes Solar panels and water for it’s functioning. Design-wise it features a flat retractable cooking panel that allows you to conveniently cook food while camping. It folds up to a column size and makes perfect sense as a portable appliance. Although working details are sketchy, it doesn’t take away the fact that the cooker can become a clever addition to any camp-supply system.

Green Cooker is a 2012 iF Design Talents entry.

Gonna need one hell of an efficient battery for this to be effective and there’s no room for one. Even at one hundred percent solar panel efficiency you’re not going to have enough energy to heat pretty much anything (unless you’re also carrying around a fairly powerful laser to power the cooker).

You might be better off just painting your pot black and leaving it out in the sun if you’re so keen on using solar energy.
