This interactive watch by Julien Moise uses the wearer’s own renewable wind energy to power it’s icy blue display. To read the time the user simply blows on the propeller mechanism to generate just enough electricity to activate a short visual sequence. You might get some strange looks blowing on your wrist, but this watch’s cool minimal style totally makes up for it.

this is beyond cool! Wow, what a design.

Would the watch get enough air flow to power up without being blown?
No. Smokers beware.

Where is the exhaust for the airflow. With the air nowhere to go you wouldn't be able to rotate the fins like they do in the video.
The concept is nice though, not really needing batteries and only requiring energy when the user requires it. It really fits in the mindset of saving energy.

Innovative. Must have.

Nice design, but what about the energy needed to keep the clock on time? or does it sync everytime you blow on it?

Looks the part; If does the job then its awesome.. maybe combine your idea with old-school wind up watches. Which worked well is you were active (South Africa)

Just like Robin, I wanna know how does it keep the hour on time. The blowing is just for the display isn't it? So I think it still uses battery to be on time.

nice concept, I think you need to add an exhaust for the air to pass thru.

This is silly. Perhaps in a magical fairy-land where no dust or rain exists. Don't wear long sleeves, or put your hands in your pockets: you'll get lint in your watch! There's design, and then there's having too much time on your hands.

The idea is very good and try to do something innovative is interesting and appears to be a good way to reduce battery consumption on the planet, and could be a good way to raise awareness in people.
