21:9 Smartphone
The E2 is a 21:9 device with a different approach to the slate phone. It’s symmetrical across the horizontal axis instead of vertical like traditional phones. The result is an ergonomic phone with a large screen, a relatively small size, no vertical orientation bias and no compromises in hardware.

So, with no bezel, how do you hold it sideways, say for a game, without touching the screen?

Well how do you hold a normal phone right way up with no bezel? And with a 21:9 screen, your hands need to be as close as possible in order to access the center.

And when I use the phone while lying down, how does it detect which end should be the speaker, and which the microphone?

Really intelligent design, it cuts the "elongations" of the front leaving only the screen, that's great!
