The Duplex Workspace is a one off prototype but Sophie is looking into developing the concept and is currently on the lookout for the funding and facilities to do so.
Size – approx L 1200 x D 600 x H 1500
Material – Ash Veneered surface and hood. Solid Ash turned legs.

From an ergonomic point of view it’s pretty bad. When the cover is up you are hunched inside. Look at the position of the guy’s wrists when using the laptop; bent over the edge of the desk. Also, the shape of the storage underneath looks to be just big enough to hold nothing bigger than an A5 document without it hanging out the front.

Somehow it doesn’t feel like it will keep people away from looking in…bigger hood and probably higher too. Nice idea though.
