This past week has seen the release of Ypperlig, IKEA’s biggest collaboration to date, with Copenhagen giant HAY. Comprised of over 60 various products, the Ypperlig collection continues on this theme of high quality products at affordable prices – including furniture like sofas, chairs, shelving, and tables, with a price range of around $40 to $600, with accessories like wall mirrors, lamps, trays, and throws with a price range of around $4 and $50. What really defines the new collection is the ‘Monobloc Chair’, an injection molded beauty that defines the thought and signature touches of Rolf and Mette Hay – the founders of HAY – and the ability that HAY have to tap into the supply chain body of IKEA.
