Outside-In Umbrella

Umbrellas can be incredibly useful for keeping you dry… until you close it and the thing ends up soaking you itself because it’s wet! This clever twist of the classic form turns inside-out when you’re not using it, keeping the wet surface away so you stay dry when you make it in from the rain!

Intersting Idea. What about moldiness by the wetness inside?

Great idea, but how does it keep the strong wind from blowing it in side out all of the time?

  • Shiverbrains says:

Yeah, I don’t understand what this solves.. my clothes never get wet from using an umbrella. This just seems to promote mold and getting blown inside out.

I would start from scratch and research ways to make an umbrella dry faster, like new materials or channels for the water to drain away.
