A solid, CNC-machined brass rail also replaces the thin shim used before, giving the mechanism a guided path instead of loose surface contact.
There’s also a Pin and Stop Pin system tucked inside, which sounds technical but solves a simple problem: knowing exactly when the slide is finished moving. Push it all the way, and it stops firmly, with no mushy give or extra wiggle room. That crisp finish is part of why the motion feels complete every time, not just smooth in the middle.
The DeckShiv Neo’s surface plays a role, too.
