When Nothing entered the smartphone space with the Phone (1), it did so with the clear intention to stand apart. Its transparent back, exposed components, and Glyph interface gave the device a unique identity in a market crowded with look-alike slabs. The Phone (2) refined that approach with more premium materials, a faster chipset, and subtle improvements to the lighting system. Now the Phone (3) reiterates the forward-moving approach.
All three models are rooted in the company’s philosophy of “tech made interesting,” but they have largely followed the same flat-edged, symmetrical design language. Now the Arc Pulse case for Nothing Phone (3) reimagines what your phone could look like with a sculptural, flowy silhouette.
Designer: Jesus Selvera and Arc
The Nothing Phone (3) Arc Pulse bumper case, made out of aerospace-grade aluminum, reinterprets the company’s hallmark transparency with a more sculptural form. Instead of a flat, rectangular profile, the phone adopts a curved, arched silhouette that appears to wrap around the hand more naturally. This shift improves ergonomics while creating new ways for light and shadow to interact with the transparent layers, making the internals feel more like an integrated art piece than exposed circuitry. The interactive Glyph interface, instead of simply lining the rear in strips, follows the phone’s curvature, making light patterns appear more fluid and immersive.
From a hardware perspective, the Arc Pulse case maintains the visual minimalism that Nothing is known for, with a naked presence around the center. A combination of strengthened curved glass and a custom aluminum frame preserves structural integrity without adding much weight. This is important, as Nothing thrives on satisfying its customers who largely value minimalism. The Arc Pulse case syncs with that emotion seamlessly.
The Arc Pulse case for the Nothing Phone (3) uses a precision pressure-fit system that firmly secures the metal shell without relying on glue or plastic parts. This ensures 360-degree protection for the phone’s most vulnerable edges. The result is a more durable build that’s also entirely recyclable, staying true to the brand’s sustainable design philosophy.
The dual-layer construction of the aluminum shell is integrated with a custom-engineered inner frame. While the outer shell disperses impact forces, the interior absorbs and dampens shock, delivering up to 3 meters of drop protection without adding bulk or compromising form. On the software side, Nothing OS has been steadily evolving toward a cleaner, more distraction-free Android experience. The Arc case highlights the context-aware animations tied to the Glyph lights that respond dynamically to music playback or ambient environmental cues.
The minimalist bumper phone case is currently available in two color options: Matte Black and Silver, priced at $70 and $90, respectively. Given that Arc bumper cases have proved their worth for other phone models as well, the Nothing Phone (3) owners can buy the accessory right away to protect their device from accidental falls. On top of everything else, it adds character to the phone, and enhances the Glyph interface with its thoughtful design.
