A Task Light That’s Fit for Any Task?!

ki_task_light_layout

This quirky little product is the Ki Task Light, and its perfect combination of carefully considered design and elevated functionality makes for an excellent device that we felt we had to talk about!

The distinctive form has been primarily inspired by Japanese aesthetics, and more specifically, the Kanji character for tree, Ki. The three-legged base, completed with silicone feet for added stability, creates a solid support for the cantilever task light above. What makes this task light so functional is its ability to be portable; powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the entire light shaft can be removed from the base as its function changes from a task light to a hand-held torch!

Carefully considered elements of the design such as the seamlessly integrated dial at the rear that, when turned, adjusts the brightness of the lamp, and the spring loaded ball joint that allows the user to position the light in any direction that they desire, makes Ki a wonderfully useful addition to the workspace!
