Given the high number of patients hospitalized and nurses being overworked in some countries, there is a high chance the IV drip being ignored and stopped in time. I need not elaborate on the kind of complications that can arise out of this, which is why the IV Light concept makes sense. It features a glow-in-the-dark label that reflects the amount of fluid remaining in the drip. A glowing red is a warning that the drip needs to be changed.
