i will give the extra to my best friend, who is obsessed with his iPad. The first thing i would draw is him! (because that’s what best friends do…)

  • Kevin says:

I don’t have an iPad but I’d really like the chair from last week’s giveaway.

I’ll give the extra one to my mother. The first thing I would draw is a cartoon version of myself. Hehehe

  • Jeffrey Wright says:

I will give my extra to my good friend Brett so he can keep track of his international lifestyle and I will use the other to digitally redesign my life on my iPad

I’d give the stylus to my derby wife. We both recently got on tablet computers so we can run our derby league in real time. First thing would be to finish the Vineyard Vixens logo.

If I won the Adonit products…

I would give the 2nd Jot to my good friend, to help him better continue work on his portfolio and the chance of being hired at the game design studios where he is applying.

The first thing I would do is to continue work on designs for a more modern and accessible USB flashdirve that I’ve been sketching out, and finalize designs for a number of company logos I’ve been working on.

  • I don’t have an iPad myself, so I’d give the iPad stylus to my father. He’s an award-winning 8th grade science teacher in a tiny town in north Alabama, and he loooooves his iPad. That way, I could hook up his projector to the iPad so the kids could enjoy interactive biology apps that are out right now.

I’d give the extras to my college art department – University of Alabama at Birmingham has amazing professors who encourage collaboration, community involvement, and new media explorations. There are artists who explore and love digital creation on their own. But if tools aren’t available to more artists, we might let some amazing collaborators fall through the cracks.

The first thing I’m going to draw is a jewelry design for my jewelry line RUIN. I’ve been so wanting to turn my Android into a sketchpad, but fingers just won’t cut it. I’d like to design a memorial unisex cuff ring to help raise money for Alzheimer’s research and caregiver support – in memory of my Grandfather DeFiore. It’d be a true joy to do what I love and give back!

  • Liz says:

I would give the Jot Pro to my best friend who has actually been searching for something like this for his iPad for a while. The Jot to my mother-in-law who just got an iPad a month ago-she’s super crafty and would love it.
The first thing I’ll draw out will be the design for my thank you postcards I am working on from my wedding two weeks ago.

I doodle boxes on paper, so that will be my first doodle with the stylus. I’ll give the extra to the first Ipad user I spot in my favorite cafe the day it arrives.

  • Will H says:

I would give the extra one to my mother, she has always enjoyed drawing, but when I gave her the iPad, she’s never been able to use it for the art she imagines.
The first thing I would sketch would be the designs for a new pair of longboarding slide gloves, I always have the best ideas when I’m away from my computer.

  • Jesse says:

I’d give the writer and jot to my friend. I’d keep one for myself to finally rid myself of a pen and paper when I want to sketch an idea. I’d use my jot to draw the first thing that popped into my head.

  • jpdion says:

I’d keep one Adonit Jot and one Jot Pro for me because that’s a pretty cool gadget, and i’d give the other to my sister who wants to be an artist. She will probably draw the portait of somebody in the family.

  • Jonathan Clark says:

I would give the extra Jot’s to my younger brother Christopher. He is a high school student who won a free ipad after his ipod nano was stolen. He uses the ipad all the time for classes, homework & sketching.

The first thing that I would use the jot for would be the concept sketches for the games that I am designing. One board game and one ios game. Thanks for the chance to win:)

  • brent says:

I would give the other one to my friend who is striving to be an artist. My first drawing will be part of my design project for my manufacturing processes class at miami university.

  • Xaxa Aman Rupesh says:

and I would use my Jot Pro to design the next few pages of the comic book that I’m currently working on.

  • Sharon says:

One would go to my daughter, the artist in the family, and with the other I would attempt a reasonable resemblance of our new pup! What fun it would be to own one of these!

  • Debbie says:

I would give the extra jot and extra jot pro to my brother and cousin. And we could create T-shirts for our clubs at school.

  • abbyk says:

I’d give one to my friend Bob, but not before drawing a big happy face for winning.

  • Ellen B. says:

I would give one to my co-worker and teacher Donielle who teaches Middle School Social Studies and who would use it to mark up maps, write up school notes and show the course of history. The first thing I would use it for drawing would be creating a video of lattice multiplication for my students and parents to learn alternative ways to learn math solutions.

  • bem69 says:

I would so give this to my friend who still hasn’t found the perfect stylus for his design, sketches and notes, which is great since he uses the ipad religiously. As for me? I will actually do my first actual character and landscape drawing/painting with the added precision of The Jot Pro! Hope my wish comes true!

  • Jeremy T says:

Hi, I teach in a high school. I’m already using a Jot Pro myself, so I’d give the Jots to my school.

We’ve recently ordered a bunch of iPads for teaching. While we don’t have plans to order styluses at the moment, I see the Jots being very useful. My colleagues who teach art could use it in teaching digital design, and it will save on some material costs in cases where it can replace the use of canvas and paint. For brainstorming concepts in English or science classes and for presentations, drawing zoomable mindmaps that are projected on a screen allow for more input than writing on a whiteboard (you can’t Zoom those–and that’s a real problem for shortsighted students at the back of the classroom).

Finally, penmanship/calligraphy apps are now finally viable. Students with atrociously illegible handwriting need not fail exams anymore–they just have to do penmanship assignments in English and Chinese (it’s a second language taught here). While they could do it on paper, it isn’t as fun, and they’re unlikely to do it on their own accord. If they can borrow iPads and Jots from the school, hopefully they’ll learn something in breaks between classes. Hopefully.

  • I’d give my extra Jot and jot Pro to my wife, the professional illustrator (http://www.organ-kean.com). The first thing I would draw would be a little submarine, since it was my favorite from Dan O’Neil’s Big Yellow Drawing Book when I was a kid.

  • Eric says:

Nice idea. I would give the extra Adonit Jot and Jot Pro Stylus to the graphical designer in our office, amazing to see the guy convert ideas into actual websites. Personally I would start on a new design for my website, which is long overdue…

  • Emil Ravelo says:

Thank God I came across your blog the day before this is ending!

I love creativity and my first project would be for a compilation of my daughter’s first months…she’ll be born in late December (hopefully sooner than later). As for the extra, it’ll stay with my family and I in case one of our pups think of one as their new chew toy.

    Pick me!

  • Angel Luis Gonzalez says:

The extra Adonit Jot and Jot Pro Stylus I’d give it away to my brother. I would love to use it to convert my napkin-based notes into a vector based software, and work awesome animations.

  • monoik says:

Ill give the extra stylus to my girlfriend. She’s a med student and tends to scribble a lot on her books, so I want to make her go digital with a tablet and PDFs. Another one goes to my mother, she’s a designer producing artistic glass, so she’ll make good use of it. And I’ll draw a big fat “thank you” drawing to yankodesign if I’ll win 🙂

  • Mark Paterson says:

I’d keep the styluses as spares because I don’t know anyone else who could use them. If I convinced mt friends to get an iPad, I’d give them one 🙂 the first thing I’d draw is all my astronomy and maths notes to get me organised for my exams

Glad y’all are in the giving mood early this year!

I would not be doing anything too exciting with these great pens (pens? accurate description?), but they will be used for diagrams and taking notes. Also, I would donate one to the university tablet program and the other to the awesome professor leading it!

  • sherrie says:

I would happily give the other to My Brother, who is always helping me out. It would be nice to give back to him.First thing to draw is some jewellery ideas I have
