Digital Picture Now Comes Stamped

Why would you want a digital camera that doubles up as a rubber stamp? Why? The answer is simple….just for fun! As of now digicams offer a variety of options and modes (sepia, landscape etc.) to take pictures and edit them. Stampy Digital Camera gives you the option of creating a rubber-stamp version of your photograph, so that you stamp it onto any sheet of paper or surface. If you ask me, the best way to tweak this concept will be to have it stamp out pictures in multi colors instead of the single red. What do you think?

Market it to tween girls and you might have a chance. I cannot see too many adults being interested unless they are really, really into scrapbooking.

Jeez, all this shows is how how such a product might look, if it would indeed exist. The designer has no idea about the technology to actually build one. Thus (s)he can't get a patent for it. Grow up folks…

Pic 2 demonstrates clearly how disconnected from reality this is, as the pictured "stamp" could never have produced the pictured image.

This may actually be possible if you use the same technology as a laser printer. The electronic picture can be turned into a negatively charged matrix, and the ink pad could be made of toner

I love that camera. Will you produce it? looking forward to have one. Though everyone has a digital cameral, this kind of stampy digital camera offers consumers a very different feeling.

This idea is not original at all. It's just a stamp version of the Punch Camera.

Great design and concept, but when you stamp down, wouldn’t you run the risk of scratching/damaging the camera lens if it’s right there on the stamp handle?

Nice idea, but i dont see how this works / could work. how is the picture on the lcd converted to the stamp – in other words, how would the shape be pushed (i assume) out of the stamp itself?

If this where a actual product, It would have a limited market. Therefore the cost of R&D, tooling for a limited production run would mean the on shelf price would be in the thousands. Some wealthy heiress might find this product cool for about a week, then move on to the next stupid craze only rich girls could afford with daddy's silly money. How available are suitable surfaces to stamp this onto are? Are people going to have to carry around paper? Find a actual problem people have then design a product to meet the needs of this problem.
