Our virtual hand has gotten pretty innovative in real life and the credit for this goes to all those concept ideas that seemed pretty outlandish at first. I’m talking about the mighty mouse! From bare minimum functions to creatively complicated, the computer mouse has evolved in its stature. Here is a recap on the Ten Most Creative Mouse Concepts that have been showcased on Yanko Design.

Mobile phones, cable boxes, alarm clocks, and microwaves are just a few examples of where time can be read at a glance. The need for a single centralized wall clock seems pointless unless you take its intrinsic design value to heart. For example, Definition of Time by Wooteik Lim (love the name) envisages a timepiece not really suited for easy time telling but the piece is quite sculptural easily making it a centerpiece in your home.

So here’s something different from usual posts. It’s not tech related, not I.D. per say, and tho simple, is plenty difficult to execute. Fragile candy sends a sharp message. I taste good but I’m also bad for you. Mmm no suspended fruit? I demand anything clear must have suspended fruit!

Tired of hearing people say, “do you have me on speakerphone?” or how about “why is it echoing?” Avid hands-free headset users know the drill and no matter how sensitive the mic is, truth is the ear is just a tad too far away from the mouth. The Tie Up concept is a solve to that problem by placing the mic right below your mouth. Slide it up the lanyard to answer and conversely slide down to hang up.

A bar of soap is probably one of the most efficient product designs ever created. Rub it where you want to be clean and eventually the bar just fades away…mostly. Not many things in life are more physically challenging than attempting to hold on to that little sliver of sudsy salvation. Dropping the soap can sometimes have lethal results, whether by slip-or-fall or for our “legally challenged” citizens, that fate worse than death.

The Jelly Click takes mouse portability to the extreme. All the electronic circuity lives on a small flexible board. The body itself is just soft plastic. Whenever you need a mouse, blow up the Jelly Click, attach the USB cable and you’re good to go. As a bonus, it’s a total floaty for you swimming challenged people.

Some people get palpitations just from weighing themselves. Perhaps the affirmation the last 15 lbs came from Christmas is weighing heavy on their minds, no pun intended. It’s one of those “I need to know, but don’t wanna look” situations some of us have had in our bathrooms. Sometimes a few self words of encouragement are necessary to prepare for the shock. Make it easier on yourself. The Secret Hole scale moves the “window of weight” right underneath your feet. Take a deep breath and take a peak when you’re ready.
