Slim But Watch It! Wide Load Coming Thru

Slim But Watch It! Wide Load Coming Thru

OM is a wireless, optical mouse with an incredibly slim profile. If you thought Apple’s Magic Mouse was too slim, your hand is probably cramping up just thinking about using this. Wait up tho! Studies show most of the strain on your hands comes from the extremities so this mouse was made extra wide – almost as wide as an average hand to provide full support. At only 10mm at the highest point, it almost feels like you’re using nothing at all – just a bunch of people pawing at their desks. I’d love a picture of that.

Urwerk 201 - Revolving Satellite Watch

Urwerk 201 – Revolving Satellite Watch

An innovative Revolving Satellite Complication displays time on the 201. Telescopic minute hands operate through three orbiting and revolving hour satellites. These telescopic hands precisely adjust their length following the minutes and then retract. Extended, they enable the 201 to display the time across a large easy-to-read, dial. Retracted, they allow for a shorter and more comfortable case.

Watch Out Mighty Mouse, Memory Mouse Is Here

Watch Out Mighty Mouse, Memory Mouse Is Here

No matter how awesome the Mighty Mouse is (Apple’s version, not the cartoon), it’s low on brains. Enter the Memory Mouse, you’re atypical hockey puck style mouse complete with 4 or 8 GB of built-in memory and a touch scroll wheel.

Real Crystal LED Watch

Real Crystal LED Watch

Inspired by Swarovsky Signity watches, this timepiece by designer Ilya Yakovlev features a surface made from real crystals backlit by LEDs. You can increase the luminosity and change colors to suit your mood. Is it real? In the mind of Yakovlev yes. Is it expensive? I’m gonna hedge my bet and say hell yeah.

Roomba Watch Out

Roomba Watch Out

There are some new bots called OSP on the drawing board. Using advance robotics, these guys autonomously work together to contain an oil spill by surrounding it with an inflatable barrier. Once contained, clean-up crews can jump in and suck the oil out. After reading this, my Roomba just quit.

Roomba Watch Out

Roomba Watch Out

The All-In-One Robot Cleaner is a stick vac carrying a passenger with a mind of its own. Like any good stick vac, you’ve got something easy to push around. But if you’re feeling particularly Jetson’s like, a robot slides down and does the vacuuming for you, ala Roomba. For serious tho, I want this NOW. I’m sure the robot amidship will throw off the center of gravity but nothing a couple months of R&D couldn’t figure out.

The Face of Time

The Face of Time

A simple yet elegant analog watch, the World Muji watch has something distinctive to it. From a distance, you see a beautiful watch, but at close range, you can see how the designer has placed the dial graphics onto the glass face with such intricate detail. The font of the watch was created to resemble a ruler commonly used for technical precision.

Crystal Wrist

Crystal Wrist

Let me continue our legacy here on Yanko of presenting completely amazing, strange, and weird, with this “Retro-Futurism” timepiece from designer Carson Leong. It’s a digital timepiece that “celebrates the magical properties of fused fibre optics.” I couldn’t have said it more wonderful myself. The watch has its top glass (Sapphire crystal) replaced by fused fibre optic with 12 facets, each of the 12 representing one hour of the day. When turned off, the watch becomes a unique fashion accessory with a black gem (the optic) at the helm.

Automotive Inspired Timepiece

Automotive Inspired Timepiece

The AP1 watch is a nod to the first generation Honda S2000, one of the first cars to offer a push button start to the mass market. The watch mimics the form of the button and is equal in simple functionality: time, alarm, date, and stop watch/lap timer. A great watch for the weekend racer and automotive enthusiast!
