The All-In-One Robot Cleaner is a stick vac carrying a passenger with a mind of its own. Like any good stick vac, you’ve got something easy to push around. But if you’re feeling particularly Jetson’s like, a robot slides down and does the vacuuming for you, ala Roomba. For serious tho, I want this NOW. I’m sure the robot amidship will throw off the center of gravity but nothing a couple months of R&D couldn’t figure out.
There are some new bots called OSP on the drawing board. Using advance robotics, these guys autonomously work together to contain an oil spill by surrounding it with an inflatable barrier. Once contained, clean-up crews can jump in and suck the oil out. After reading this, my Roomba just quit.

Ever wonder why there is brail text on drive-up ATMs? Well maybe the makers of ATMs accepted the inevitable future and understand that one day our society will invent autonomous transportation for the world’s blind. Nah, it was probably cheaper to produce one kind of ATM. But at least Eric Leong is thinking about helping the blind. He has designed a concept that takes all the guess work out of navigating to your destination. Simply hail the Johnny Cab IRIS – AUTONOMOUS TRANSPORT via text message and text in your destination.

Man, everyone knows you’ve got to rake the sand yourself. What? Unless you’re from the Roomba generation of Buddhist monks. Then you’ve got to get yourself affiliated with the Studio FRST crew. They’ll whip you up a set of “Jardin Impatient” or what I’d call Auto Sand Gardeners. You’ll never have to pull sand to be at peace again! What a relief! Time for a nice sit.

You won’t catch me on my hands and knees sweeping with an old fashioned duster. No sir I prefer to use the power of a little wonder called the Roomba but sometimes getting manual is the only way to go and the Brush Can makes it a tad easier to keep up cleaning chores. The densely packed bristles can magically clean themselves if you pull them thru combed teeth. Also a perfect way to hold the brush in place. Brills.
