Walkman Inspires DAP

Walkman Inspires DAP

Walko Audio Player is inspired by the simplicity of the retro walkmans that had no-fuss features. Lemme round up its proposed specs for you: a full e-ink touch screen with automatic backlight when it’s dark; two bold black lines that indicate volume control and timeline; 4GB of memory (amount used up is displayed boldly); 3.5mm standart jack for headphones; Bluetooth 3.0. What makes it promising is the vow of low power consumption so that it lasts you longer than ever!

Earplugs Become A Battery And Then Charge

Earplugs Become A Battery And Then Charge

This isn’t another case of identity crisis, it’s just that the B-headphones transform to AA batteries! What I’m telling you here is that these headphones come in 3 pieces: two earbuds and a housing case. Plug the two earbuds on both the ends of the housing… and pesto! you got yourself an AA battery. Now put that battery into the main charging station and recharge the Bluetooth buds! A telltale light indicator lets you know when they are juiced up so that you can pop them out and use them again. Did I mention WICKED IDEA!

Mobile Phone That Refuses To Go Obsolete

Mobile Phone That Refuses To Go Obsolete

I am that stage in my life where I couldn’t care a less about the make or model of the mobile phone I use. I simply want functionality and that’s it! However according to my son, if he doesn’t get the latest model, his social life will be dead and he probably will be an outcast for holding that hands-me-down number! Do I have to get him a new mobile, every time the fad changes? No, not if something like the Infinite Sustainable Mobile Phone pops up.

Fold & Go Headphones

Fold & Go Headphones

I’ve seen folding headphones before but this one is a little different. There are 2 joints from which you can adjust the headphone size and pivot them into a moon shaped packaged. The final collapsed package keeps the delicate speakers away from would be sharp objects and makes the entire thing much easier to pack.

The Arc Of The Project, A Real World Tale

The Arc Of The Project, A Real World Tale

Entrepreneurs/inventors go through many stages of enterprise and end to end can mean from product conception through to some resolution. The normal resolutions are sale of the technology, startup of an operating company with its sale to another firm, operating the company to build a brand or abandonment of the project due to market or financial forces. In general, end-to-end means concept through market insertion.

Headphones Kinda Neon Evangelion w/ Built-in Webcam

This unnamed design by Andy Kurovets and Kris Dekeijser is a headphone that doubles as a webcam. That giant crystal on the side is actually a cover hiding the lens. The idea is no matter where you’re listening to music, seeing your friends is just a crystal popping moment away.

A Vase of Bass for your Face

A Vase of Bass for your Face

So, we’ve seen our share of headphones. Headphones have been neat for decades, and personal usage of them, day-to-day street wear-wise, has seen a resurgence in recent years due in no small part to the personal MP3 player. It should come as no surprise then that after their first minimalistic, Apple phase, they flower into a new age of aesthetic excess. Presenting the Flower Vase MP3 player, with earbuds in several different beautiful flora for you to stick in your ears.

Nintendo Wii 2010 Style

When it comes to the future of gaming, opposable thumbs are so passé. At least that is what the dreamers at T3 Magazine think when they started to commission future designs for their “future tech” feature. They are showcasing a Wii headset accessory that uses brainwaves to control characters and also features immersive in-ear headphones. They envision a streamlined Wii Remote with just the one button. Just point and press, and let your frontal lobes do the rest.

Bruce Wayne Says What?

Bruce Wayne Says What?

Look out Mickey Mouse, “Batphones” are about to take over where your pathetic plastic ears only look cute and cuddly. Designed to enhance any sound coming from in front of you, these plastic prosthetic ears slip on as easy as a hair band, not that I ever wore a head band. Why didn’t I just say; as easy as a pair of headphones? Anyway, moving on.

PMP With Gasp! No Touchscreen

PMP With Gasp! No Touchscreen

Yes someone has designed a concept in 2007 with no touchscreen! Can you believe it? It’s like they didn’t get the memo or something. Seriously tho, I believe there’s still a place for tactile or as the geeks say it, “analog” controls. Designers Mathieu Pesme and Jeff Castel embrace other ‘concepty’ technologies without drowning us in all the high tech hoopla-hype.
