Never Miss Breakfast with Bikefast

Never Miss Breakfast with Bikefast

With this breakfast design, one will never be too late at work or school again. When you have overslept, the first thing you do to hurry up is skipping your breakfast. To prevent that skipping, Philipp Drexler invented the Bikefast. Now you can jump on your bicycle and have your breakfast during the ride.

Breakfast in Bed

Breakfast in Bed

hotspot / breakfast is an excellent way to pamper yourself or a loved one. The setup is a fully functional breakfast tray with components like a toaster, a kettle and an espresso pot; all designed with a classic touch. Too bad it didn’t hit the market during this past Valentine’s week. It sure would have made many of us ladies happy…. being served breakfast in bed!

Breakfast In Bed Or Anywhere

Breakfast In Bed Or Anywhere

Breakfast in bed or at Tiffany’s, it doesn’t matter anymore because the adorable Downtown Breakfast Set is what me wants! The modular tray (conceals the lithium-ion battery within) elegantly carries a pad-based coffeemaker, milk foamer, and toaster and is meant to be placed just about anywhere. Question is, what about the ingredients like bread slices, preserves etc. Need to figure out how to make this handier that it already is. But I love this idea!

Bored of morning talk shows? The daily paper too scary to read lately? How about waking your tired butt up with a good round of breakfast olympics? THE BRUNCH by Ivo Vos is a “series of consumer products that celebrate the mundane.” Test your mortar lobbing skills with this angled toaster/launcher. Or see how your peeing accuracy could improve with this height measuring tea pot.

Are We Having A Road Cone For Breakfast?

Are We Having A Road Cone For Breakfast?

Sorry, wrong menu but right intentions… The On the Road Ceramic Breakfast Set is purposely crafted to resemble a Traffic Cone. Why? Simply to add the fun elements to ceramics plus to give you an espresso cup, juice glass, tea cup, cereal bowl and a small plate, in one go. Super cute and super simple, that’s the way to go!

Toasty Charger

Toasty Charger

The Toasty Charger by Hyun- A Ko makes each charging session into a breakfast scene, or whenever it is you toast. For me, that’s breakfast. Assuming it can take all varying sizes of lithium ion batteries, you slide one in, push the toaster handle down and wait for it to pop back up again. Granted this is one toast that’ll take a little longer than usual so if you’re not around to see it pop, there’s a handy dandy color coded LED light in the shape of toast for visual reference. Mmm, breakfast!

Miss Geschick & Lady Lapsus by Olga Bielawska & Astrid Schildkopf

Any of this sounds familiar: A stain on your freshly cleaned t-shirt, your girlfriend always takes the whole duvet for herself so nothing is left for you, and hairy bodies are just too much for you Our products are exactly dealing with those faux pas or delicate themes of the everyday life which we don’t want to eliminate but put them in a positive context. That way small mishaps and such will become a stylish and communicative element in your life.

Dynamic Kitchen: From Cozy To Comprehensive

Dynamic Kitchen: From Cozy To Comprehensive

Smart kitchens are ones that fool you into thinking that you have an elaborate setup, when in reality it’s just a very cozy space that becomes elaborate when necessary. Nolte Küchen Dynamic Living Kitchen is a good example of this style. It’s smart and elegant to look at, and fits in all the modern amenities that a couple will require. It goes from a comfy breakfast nook to a sophisticated entertainment hob whilst partying with friends, by simply rearranging the movable tables. Really Smart!

The Top 25 Entries of Electrolux Design Lab 2010

The Top 25 Entries of Electrolux Design Lab 2010

It’s not always easy to predict the future. For its 2010 competition, Electrolux Design Lab went with the theme: The 2nd Space Age; this essentially translating to designing a home environment for the year 2050, when 74% of the global population are predicted to live in urban areas. Student designers had to predict how people will prepare and store food, wash clothes, and do dishes. Quite a task but plenty of surprises from across the globe! Here are the Finalist 25, the countdown has begun!

Food Storage Orchestra

Food Storage Orchestra

What better way to store your gobs and gobs of food than with a full band? This is the “Food Symphony” by Chow Pei Huan, Ho Wen Chi, and Chua Kai Ren, designing conceptually for Electrolux. In a way that, as far as I know, has never been done before, this big box can store food, and store it well. In individual storage units with adjustable temperature settings it stores, sensing the integrity of the food inside as it does so. This is the sort of thing you’ll wonder how you lived without.

The Vitamins In Google Are So Good For You

The Vitamins In Google Are So Good For You

Brand power is everything in business and some people know how to milk it best. Sony, Microsoft, Apple, and our favorite Google…powerful names that carry a lot of weight. In the concept-design-world, the trick to get noticed is not to associate the brands with the obvious. For example, concept  Sony gadgets have been done to death, but a Google Envelope will attract more attention. Likewise having jaded Hollywood actresses sell fountain of youth pills pales in comparison to Google selling Vitamins.

Toasted Wrap

Toasted Wrap

It’s the future, say around the year 2015, and in this new-age we no longer believe in standard forms. Like a toaster need not be a rectangular box, it may as well be a Halo! A Super-flexible Toaster which is a sheet of heating element; blanketing the bread and making crisp toasts! Not fussy about space, you can fold it into half or roll it into wrap and stow it till next breakfast. Easy baby!
