The cafeteria was lost! What do you consider when you think of a lunch tray? Flat. The plate sits on it, the cup of soda or beer sits wobbling on it too. Well what if it was a bit more minimized? How about if the only kind of food you were eating was noodles, rice, a meat, and some dipping sauce? I know that’s what I eat when i go to my favorite restaurant. BMW DesignworksUSA has collaborated with Sennheiser on a special project and come up with three variations in earphones. The CX 980, MX 980 and OMX 980 combine visual aesthetics with functionality and come with powerful Neodymium magnets that guarantee a lifelike sound image with a highly detailed resolution. The CX 980 is fashioned to fit in comfortably in the ear canal; specs include frequency response from 16 to 24,000 Hz & soft silicone earbuds.

It was about time that someone came up with this, I mean we are in the portable era! Stick POP is a portable printer that can handle a small amount of load. You can’t overburden it with all your documents, just a small stash that you need pronto. Measuring 23 cm by 6 cm, it’s easy to fit it in your handbag. Just hook it up to your comp /device via USB and get printing! Oh, and an OLED screen on the bar displays the printing status.

The Red Stool

This is a red stool that you and I and everyone else can get behind. It’s a red stool that’s nice, neat, and ain’t gonna fall down on ya when you’re sittin (or even standin on it.) It’s called the Nido and it’s designed by one Eva Marguerre. It’s meant to look fragile, it’s built to be tough. And at 900 grams, Marguerre’s claim of “light as a feather” isn’t far off.

Spot of Lamp for You Darling?

Perhaps a dash of second-hand cups? That’s what this installation is made up of. There’s nothing more “green” in the world, in my mind, than re-using items that have been discarded by another person. Not necessarily discarded in this case, as these cups were certainly taken from places other than a garbage can. More like goodwill shops and all that. Each cup’s got a hole punched up the bottom of it, light put in, at the end of a rod. Lovely!
