The Strangest Skateboard Table

Of all the skateboard deck and skateboard sport related furniture I’ve seen in all my years of seeing such things in my line of work, I have never, ever, seen something so wild as this. This is the strangest, wildest, most wacky piece of skateboard furniture I have ever seen. It tops both the categories of skateboard related AND skateboard constructed (meaning there’s skateboard parts included) furniture. Tops. Wild.

Yipee! It’s a Hubless Skateboard!

Calling all ye skateboard enthusiasts to check out this lovely FreeRider SkateCycle (love the complex name!), a self propelled hubless skate that allows you to rule the flat ground and any skate park! The features include 9-inch polyurethane hubless wheels, weighs 7.3 lbs, easy folding system, solid aluminum frame, durable composite body parts, and two slip-resistant footboards. The wheels are connected via a double-jointed, twisting axle, which allows the rider to twist their body and move their feet inwards and outwards, to propel the board forwards.

Skateboard On A Curve

Curve Extreme Sport is a skateboard concept with hopes of creating a new sport. The design has a pair of Motor GP-inspired tires that taper on both ends to allow the rider to make sharp turns during a high speed down-hill race.

This Skateboard is No Good

Folding a skateboard in half is ludicrous. Who Jin-Seok Hwang? Yes. What foolishness to make such a thing-but wait! This thang might actually work. Look, it’s got a folding mechanism that clicks secure when in use, one of the trucks is adjustable for when the board is in folded mode, and it looks mighty shiny! Notice anything under the board you’d find to fret about? I do.

If you’re a crazed art collector with little to no cash, you are a paradoxical sort of person. If you collect “street art”, you’ve got two options: pay the toll, or find it on “lesser” canvases. One of the more odd to display products in this category is the skateboard deck. Guess who’s got your back?

Skate Long on Carbon Fiber

Oh man how I enjoy it when there’s skateboard and longboard designs on Yanko. This is the first feasible, ready to rock one I’ve gotten to write about in a long time. And it’s carbon-fiber! All the more excellent. This particular board is designed by Louis Bradier and aims to bring ski technology to the skateboard. In doing so, Bradier aims for comfort, lightness, and simplicity. Perfect goals for a most-excellent activity and sport situation.

I remember when I was just a young lad, my skateboard was practically fused to my feet. It was seriously a part of my body and would often skate from my bedroom to my kitchen just to get a bowl of Coco Puffs. A skateboard is a very personal possession and I would go to great lengths to “customize” it to death with stickers and colorful wheels. Well the days of limited customizability are gone forever with these jaw dropping skateboard design by Corbus Boards.

You new punk rockers and your graffiti skateboards! New wave, you say? No way. This skateboard is a strait up wild-style NYC modernist skateboard design. It’s an art-board, inspired by New York City “Wild Style” graffiti, but it’s also functional. Its unique shape provides lots of gawkers along with new bends, twists, and banks you’ve never broken your neck with before.

Pump-up Your Ride

Ah…the pleasure of a skateboard! A teen’s companion and a worrying mother’s bane, this piece of board has transformed form a plane plank to a glitzy glam doll with finesse. Right now lets take a look at another kind that markets itself as a Pumpboard. Rolling up like a licorice wheel, this board can be pumped up with compressed air to make it a taut steady ride.

Totally Rad Repurposing

The skateboard is both the inspiration and the material that forms this awesome series of seating. Each deckstool or deckbench is made from real recycled broken skateboards, making each one unique with its own dings, scrapes, and artwork. Even old trucks are re-used as anchors between pieces. Shooting Film

Just the other day I was thinking about how amazing it would be to be able to hold a camera with one hand and “shoot it” like a pistol. What a bunch of ease that would be – but it’d be impossible to do! It’d look just like a gun, right? And what sort of place wouldn’t suspect you of wrongdoing when you’re carrying what appears to be a firearm? Tuh-dah! Florent Cuchet’s got the solution: the sport-oriented “Trigger” camera.

Super simple. Super kawaii.
