Herman Miller Live Unframed Recap

Herman Miller Live Unframed Recap

We’re a bunch of lucky ducks. On October 14th, we attended the Herman Miller Live Unframed event where the famous company along with designer Yves Behar celebrated their latest creation, the SAYL chair. Uniquely capturing the majestic and functional qualities of modern suspension bridges, the SAYL represents some very innovative design and construction techniques.

GE EV Charger Actually Looks Good

GE EV Charger Actually Looks Good

Lookie here, Yves Behar of Fuseproject designed GE’s Wattstation –  a smart grid ready Level 2 charging station which means a 240 volt power supply that can be rapidly charged. The modular design makes each station future proof, allowing customers to easily upgrade as more options become available. This allows customers to stay current with the latest technology, while providing the ability for commercial property owners to qualify for LEED points.

NYC Helmet, I'm Giddy With Excitement

NYC Helmet, I’m Giddy With Excitement

Commissioned by the city of New York, the NYC Bike Helmet is designed with every rider, every season and a greener environment in mind. The modular system has a protective polystyrene inner shell and a soft fabric outer cover with integrated straps. Each owner can customize and personalize the outer cover, which easily separates from the protective shell for better storage and cleaning.

Primal Earbones

Primal Earbones

From the innately elegant design sensations of fuseproject comes this technologically and aesthetically candy-coated little device. It is a hands-free bluetooth device for your ear. Telephone and etcetera. With colorway names like this, how can one resist? Yello, Drop me a Lime, Lilac You Mean it, and Frankly Scarlett. These are the next level earbone pieces after the one we reviewed last year.

Concrete Jungle Love

Concrete Jungle Love

New York City, the birth place of gigantic phallic concrete towers, is one the few cities in the US that has managed to move away from its puritanical origins and step responsibly into the 21st century. Sure, it is still difficult to get a decent lap dance in Manhattan, but at least the city has your back(and front) when it comes to practicing safe sex.

Swarovski Morpheus Chandelier

Swarovski Morpheus Chandelier

The Morpheus chandelier is shaped by the viewers’ imagination: from a circle, to a square, to an infinity sign and anything in between. The many permutations of the ten-foot diameter and 16,000 crystals Morpheus light sculpture are possible through the use of servo-motors and lead cables applying pressure to a flexible spring steel assembly.

Kada - Multifunctional Table/Seat by Yves Behar

Kada – Multifunctional Table/Seat by Yves Behar

With a plain and functional appearance, the Kada multifunctional table/seat reflects the changing requirements of our modern lifestyle. Its design combines the technology and flexibility of contemporary living areas. The simple construction and assembly create an interesting contrast to its manifold functions. In everyday life, it can serve as a foldaway padded stool, as a side table or as an electrical control centre.
